In der gegenwärtigen Situation der Stromknappheit in den nationalen Netzen ist es fast unmöglich, Strom aus den nationalen Netzen zu liefern. Die Unzufriedenheit der Landbevölkerung, Strom nur für Beleuchtungszwecke zu nutzen, hat die Regierung gezwungen, nach anderen Alternativen zu suchen. Eine effektive Nutzung dezentraler Energietechnologien ist eine Option für bereits elektrifizierte Siedlungen, um relativ schnell von der gegenwärtigen Stromkrise auf lokaler Ebene zu profitieren. Die Verbindung von Mikro-Wasserkraftwerken (die bereits das Dorf elektrifizieren) ist eine der Optionen, um zusätzlichen Strom zu liefern und den Auslastungsgrad der Anlagen zu verbessern.
