La obra busca profundizar en la evolución de nuestra justicia tributaria en los últimos once años. En particular, estudia las tendencias decisorias de la jurisprudencia proferida por la Sección Cuarta del Consejo de Estado. En ese orden de ideas, y para no inducir a error al lector por la titulación del libro, no diserta sobre los aspectos teóricos de la equidad del sistema tributario colombiano, aunque en algún apartado se analiza la interpretación y aplicación que, del principio constitucional tributario de la equidad dentro de otros, ha realizado esta alta corte. También pretende analizar las virtudes y di cultades de la justicia tributaria, mediante propuestas concretas de mejora desde la mirada objetiva de la academia. 10
