I was curious about black holes and the jets and searched for information. This is my version of how black holes creates jets and it is the same mechanism that produces sunspots on the Sun. The jets are powered by the rotation and that energizes the magnetic forces of the black hole and of the Sun. I provide simple calculations for these forces. It is not based on theories but standard physics available in high school and college books.

John von Neumann / Robert T. Beyer
Quantum mechanics was still in its infancy in 1932 when the young John von Neumann, who would go on to become one of the greatest mathematicians of the twentieth century, published Mathematical Foundations of Quantum Mechanics--a revolutionary book that for the first time provided a rigorous mathematical framework for the new science. Robert Beyer’s 1955 English translation, wh...

  • Group Theory
    Predrag Cvitanović
If classical Lie groups preserve bilinear vector norms, what Lie groups preserve trilinear, quadrilinear, and higher order invariants? Answering this question from a fresh and original perspective, Predrag Cvitanovic takes the reader on the amazing, four-thousand-diagram journey through the theory of Lie groups. This book is the first to systematically develop, explain, and app...

  • Hydrodynamic Scales of Integrable Many-Body Systems
    Herbert Spohn
This book provides a broad introduction to integrable systems with many degrees of freedom. Within a much larger orbit, discussed are models such as the classical Toda lattice, Calogero fluid, and Ablowitz-Ladik discretized nonlinear Schrödinger equation. On the quantum mechanical side, featured are the Lieb-Liniger delta-Bose gas and the quantum Toda lattice. As a genuinely no...
