While many might say that America has overcome racism - unfortunately, This is far from the truth. People are still losing their lives for unjust reasons at the hands of those meant to protect them. Today, more than ever, we need to ask if things will ever get better and if things will ever change. The fact remains the same, white supremacy still prevails, and there is no glimpse of hope. Violence is committed against the LBGTQIA+ community, and Asians, Middle Easterners, Women, and the poor still struggle to live safely. America was born from the ashes of struggles of inequality and injustice, but today, we are still struggling to find our place.
