Le fructose et la streptozotocine induisent un diabète chez les rats, ce qui entraîne un dysfonctionnement endothélial. Le dysfonctionnement endothélial a été mesuré par la relaxation induite par l’acétylcholine (dépendante de l’endothélium) et la relaxation induite par le nitroprussiate de sodium (indépendante de l’endothélium) sur l’aorte thoracique du rat. Pour inverser le dysfonctionnement endothélial, le maintien de la pression artérielle est le plus important et la fluvastatine s’est avérée la plus efficace à cet égard. La fluvastatine a eu un impact significatif sur le dysfonctionnement endothélial. Le dapaglifloz, qui contrôle le diabète, est également capable de réduire le dysfonctionnement endothélial. Mais l’association de la fluvastatine et de la dapagliflozine s’est avérée plus efficace dans la gestion du dysfonctionnement endothélial que les médicaments individuels.
