Este livro discute um protocolo para a digitalização em 3D de amostras de pedras de construção. O objectivo é identificar e descrever as características morfológicas da degradação destas pedras in situ. Para tal, um trabalho preliminar consiste na realização de um envelhecimento em laboratório destas pedras a fim de reproduzir as suas alterações. Depois o estudo das degradações é realizado com um sistema de fotogrametria automatizado utilizando uma mesa giratória. A fotogrametria é baseada no processamento de imagens e nuvens de pontos para uma análise colorimétrica e morfológica da degradação sofrida pela pedra. Discutiremos a melhoria do sistema de iluminação, a automatização da mesa giratória, o controlo da câmara e todos os aspectos que permitam a automatização deste protocolo. O objectivo final é ser capaz de criar um 'cartão de identidade' de degradação para estas pedras.
